Bernheim Original is the pioneer of the modern American wheat whiskey category. Launched by Heaven Hill Distillery in 2005, it was the first genuinely new style of American whiskey introduced since Prohibition. While "wheated bourbons" (like Pappy or Weller) use wheat as a secondary grain, Bernheim is a Straight Wheat Whiskey, meaning soft winter wheat makes up at least 51% of the mash bill. This 20th Anniversary Edition, released in February 2026, celebrates two decades of this innovation by taking the standard 7-year profile and extending its maturation into a "double-digit" age statement.
