At the heart of its creation lies the use of Tokaji dessert wine casks from Hungary, a rare and complex choice in the world of Scotch whisky. These casks—previously used to mature one of the worlds oldest sweet wines—bring forward unique honeyed and fruity undertones in the Glenmorangie spirit. The base spirit itself is distilled in Glenmorangie’s signature tall-necked copper stills, the tallest in Scotland, which help ensure a light and elegant profile, perfectly suited for absorbing the rich influence of the Tokaji casks.
