Octomore 14.2 is a remarkable expression of balance and intensity, delivering uncompromising peat power refined through the influence of European oak. Distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley and peated to 128.9 ppm, this edition showcases a different maturation path from its siblings: it is aged in a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry and Amarone casks, along with Pauillac wine barriques, all European oak. Bottled at 57.7% ABV, the result is a deep and layered whisky where the structure and spice of oak intertwine with the earthy, smoky power of Islay peat.
