Description

Bruichladdich Black Art is a mysterious and highly sought-after unpeated Islay single malt, crafted from rare, aged casks selected by the distillery’s head whisky maker. Known for its secrecy, the exact cask composition remains undisclosed, creating an enigmatic and complex whisky.

On the palate, it reveals a rich and layered profile with notes of dark fruit, fig, and raisin, complemented by honey, vanilla, and caramel. Hints of chocolate, spice, and subtle oak add depth, while delicate floral and citrus undertones bring balance and elegance.

The texture is velvety and full-bodied, delivering a luxurious mouthfeel. The finish is long and evolving, with lingering sweetness, gentle spice, and refined oak.

Sophisticated and deeply complex, Black Art is designed for slow appreciation, offering a unique and contemplative whisky experience for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

About Bruichladdich

The "Anti-Transparency" Bottle: Bruichladdich is usually famous for being the most transparent distillery in Scotland. Black Art is the intentional exception—a tribute to the mystery of maturation where "only the liquid in the glass matters."

Pre-Renaissance Stock: The 11.1 uses rare "legacy" stock from the era when the distillery was closed or under-producing, making it a finite piece of history.

The Master's Trust: This series was started by Jim McEwan (Black Art 1-4) and handed over to Adam Hannett, who has continued the tradition of "secret blending" since 2016.
