About Buffalo Trace Distillery

Blanton’s is a prestigious bourbon brand produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, and is credited with creating the world’s first single barrel bourbon in 1984. Named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, a longtime distillery president who dedicated over 55 years to the craft, the brand set a new standard for premium bourbon by bottling whiskey from carefully selected individual barrels rather than blending.

Each barrel of Blanton’s is aged in Warehouse H, a metal-clad rickhouse that allows for greater temperature variation, producing a richer, more complex maturation. Every bottle is hand-labeled, features its unique barrel and warehouse details, and is topped with the iconic collectible horse-and-jockey stopper—spelling out “B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S” when the full set is collected. Known for its balance of smoothness, complexity, and distinct character, Blanton’s has earned a devoted following among bourbon enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
